Instagram - Implementation Guide

Integrating your Instagram account with Kwik Engage enables you to manage Direct Messages (DMs) and Comments efficiently from a unified platform. To ensure a seamless integration, consider the following prerequisites:


1. Instagram Business Account

Your Instagram account must be a Business Account to integrate with Kwik Engage. This designation provides access to advanced features, including API integrations necessary for managing DMs and comments. To convert your personal Instagram account to a Business Account, navigate to your account settings, select "Account," and choose "Switch to Professional Account." For more help, refer this guide.


2. Connect Facebook Page to your Instagram Business Account

  • Go to your Instagram profile.
  • Select "Edit profile".
  • Below Public business information, select Page.
  • Tap Continue on the Connect or create a Facebook Page popup.
  • Tap Log in to Facebook and choose a Page from your Pages that you'd like to connect to or select Create a new Facebook Page.
  • Tap Connect after you've selected a Page or tap Create after you've created a Facebook Page. For more help, refer this guide.


3. Allow Messages Access

For Kwik Engage to manage your Instagram DMs, you must allow message access within your Instagram settings. To do this:

  • Open the Instagram app and go to Settings.
  • Tap on "Privacy," then select "Messages."
  • Toggle on the "Allow Access to Messages"

This setting authorizes third-party applications like Kwikchat to access and manage your DMs. For more help, refer this guide.


By ensuring these prerequisites are met, you can effectively integrate your Instagram account with Kwik Engage, streamlining your communication and enhancing your social media management capabilities.



How to connect your Instagram Business Account with Kwik Engage?


Please note: to proceed, you must be the admin of the Instagram Business Account and Facebook Page


1. Login to your Kwik Engage account and go to Getting Started from the left Navigation Bar, and click on Instagram icon from the array of channel icons. Click on Connect with Facebook


2. Login through your Facebook credentials



3. Select All Facebook Pages and click on Continue


3. Select the specific Instagram Account that you wish to connect and click on Continue. Then click on Save and Got it in the next two screens. The pop-up close.


4. Now select the Facebook Page connected with your Instagram Account. Check both DM and Comment, and click Submit. 


5. Great, your Instagram account is now connected. You can go to Inbox and see that the DMs and Comments will be start coming in there.
